Hello Air Force

   The Army and Marines are  busy in Iraq, that leaves the Air Force and Navy to strike at the parts of Syria and Iran that are supplying terrorists in Iraq and Lebanon.  The lesson of Vietnam is that you have to strike at the  those supporting the guys you are fighting. Think boldly. Courage can save many lives.

America The Beautful

    I would love to see more in the media about what a beautiflul thing America is.  I would like to see admiration for a nation that has brought freedom to its own people and many millions around the world.  This would not be blind admiration but based totally in fact. America's deeds have been recorded in history and make a beautiful story.

The Best of Life

    Family is the best part of life. I think it would be helpful if people who lose their jobs or positions, when they claim they are voluntarily quitting to spend more time with their families, would explain just what brought about their descision.  What occured that made them realize that their family is the most important thing?
   Usually one parent has to spend time out of the house to support the family.  I think families can tell when Dad is trying to spend time at home as much as possible.  They can also tell when he is trying to avoid home.
   A good explaination of why one would quit a job to spend more time with family is that the person always knew that family was most important and always wanted to be able to spend more time at home.

Courage

   Courage is the most important virtue in any situation, but especially when danger  is seemingly all around.  The enemy knows if  our courage  fails we are defeated.  Everything he does is aimed at convincing us to give up.  I think the West creates problems for itself because it's courage doesn't  become evident until the situation is almost lost. Maybe I lack courage myself because this make me nervous.  If the after Pearl Harbor spirit had shown itself in 1936 or so, there may not have been a WWII.

Simplicity

   I think the plans for a cease fire in Lebanon are doomed to failure.  The complexity of the proposals is mind blowing and that is usually an indication that they are unworkable. The simple solution is: one side wins and the other loses. Let's not stop it until their is a winner. The future will be much easier that way.

Fight the Democrats

   We have to fight the Democrats to be allowed to defend the Country.  They don't get it. They are so convinced America is the bad guy, they think job one is to restrain America. We need to be much more agressive in destroying terrorists and terror regimes before they hurt us.

Democrat Purification

    Joe is toast as far as the Dems are concerned. 
    Will the new pure Democratic Party get it done in the elections?
     I doubt it.  Republicans can accept Chris Shayes, but the Dems can't take Joe?   
    Arlen spector is one of my Senators and I disagree with him on more than one     thing.   Actually it is more like 49% of the time I disagree with him.  I vote against him in the      primary, but for him in the elections.  I wonder how many Dems will go for Joe in the election?

Liberal War Mongers

    I wonder what the Liberals will be like when they realize, if they ever do, that they are being played by America's enimies? Could they flip out and want to nuke the same countries they used to make excuses for, want to destroy anyone who made fools of them? Will we on the right have to hold them back?
   Hopefully they willl put the blame where it belongs,on themselves. No one can make you a fool, they can only take advantage of your foolishness.  If some Americans are foolish enough to believe  their own country is the world's bad guy, and such bad actors  as the Soviet Union, China, Cuba, Iraq, Iran,Libya among others are the good guys, why not take advantage? But what happens when liberal fools figure out they are not loved , respected and listened to by the worlds evildoers, they are held in contempt, not only as fools, but as traitors?
   Stand by!

Critical Moments

   Now seems to me the biggest critical moment for Our Country and the World in my lifetime.  It would seem everything is working against us, Muslim fanatics,Oil Markets, our own left,you name it.  I think it may turn out to be a historical turning point when negative forces are turned back and humanity advances. It seems we have very little help in trying to make a better world, but if we succeed, everyone will say they were rooting for us all along.

Getting Through to the left

   The difficulty of convincing the left of any common sense position is they ,at least the older baby boomers, are heavily invested in the idea that they have changed or saved the would by their behavior of the last 40 years.
    I fear many of them would  risk mental instability if they faced the fact that things they take the most pride in have been disasters for the world and the US.  The Withdrawal of support for South Vietnam after the war was over caused so much death in Southeast  Asia, anyone who advocated it should live a life of penance in the hope of undeserved forgiveness.
     If I were in their position I would find it almost impossible to admit my error, as apprarently they do.

What level Taxes

    Sometimes I wonder if there is a correct level of taxes.  I have come to think that the level should be as low as possible in order to have the least slowing effect on the economy and the smallest burden of the taxpayer.  I think it can be  determined by competition.  If another city or state provides the things your city or state does while having lower taxes, that's an indication that your local jurisdiction isn't as efficient and therefore has unnecessarily high taxes.
   Some taxes are necessary. Obviously Police are required to keep the strong from preying on the weak, Fire departments for the public safety.  Business cannot florish without  stability, so government spending in these areas in money very well spent.
   The struggle  is to keep government from trying to do things it doesn't do as well as private sector or things that aren't necessary at all. If your City erects a monument to a recently passed away politician, it may seem like a nice idea, but what if your share of the taxes used for the project could have bought you a 50 inch plazma TV?  No one project could use that much of any one taxpayers money, but what about the total of all things your City does that aren't necessary? Maybe we all could have had that big screen last year.

Hezbollah

   I admire President Bush for having the guts to defy "World Opinion" and tell Hezbollah that since they started the fighting, they will have to take the consequences.
   If my experience with human nature is anything to go by, the people of Lebanon will realize Hezbollah brought destruction to thier country.
   Since people there cannot speak freely for fear of reprisals, asking Lebanese on camera what they think is a useless endeavor, like asking Cubans whether they are glad or sorry that Castro is sick. Be confident, people know the score, terrorists and dictators get only lip service.
 Once they are free to speak, they will tell a different story.

The Will to Win

   We must decide to win this election. The failures of the guys we elected last time make no difference.  Each time we can get a slightly better crew into office  and improve our Republic.
   The Republican Party is an imperfect vehicle for improving things in America, but it is the best we have. All out effort and support must be given even though our goals cannot be achieved in any one electoral cycle.
   We must ,where possble, replace spenders with tax and Government Program cutters, weak Reps and Senators with strong ones, and the selfish with true Patriots. 
   No one can have his or her own personal vision for America enacted exactly the way he  or she envisions it. The more people with whom one has to band together to be a force in politics,the more one must compromise.  Be humble and  be satisfied that the Country moves in the direction we seek.
   Love of Humanity and of America makes each election fight worth fighting to win.
Let's go get them.
